Responsibilities

• Assess patients ranging from children to seniors using both standardized tests and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals—including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families—to devise comprehensive care approaches.
• Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond the confines of therapy.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Ensure compliance with documentation guidelines at both the state and federal levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
