SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a primary care group of up to 10 children ranging from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. (Assigned state ratio applies)
• Plans, implements, and supervises the class's daily program according to the philosophy of LeafSpring School.
• Incorporates principles of age-appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans.
• Must complete the Virginia Preservice Training (10 hr. training)

THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and work ethic – must be a team player!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ months of programmatic experience , working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility required.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or other child-related fields. (assistance available for those who want to further their degree!)
• Does not have scheduling restrictions between the hours of 6:45 am-6:15 pm
• Our pay starts at $15/hour and goes up from there depending on position, education, and experience.

We will train you and give you valuable industry experience. Daycare, nanny, summer camp, babysitting, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilio experience welcome!
