MK2 Engineers is looking for an exceptional individual to fill our growing electrical department's Electrical Design Engineer role.Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:Experience in a US-based A/E firm or design-build contractor EIT license preferredBSEE degree from an accredited university Desired Requirements and Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication coupled with strong organizational and people skillsExpertise in electrical system design and electrical design software Proficiency in California electrical codes, Title 24 Energy Standards, NEC, and NFPAAutoCAD experienceRevit experience is a plusDuties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Responsible for concepts and documentation from schematic through construction administration phasesDesign of electrical power and lighting systems for new construction, retrofits, and system upgradesElectrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short circuit studyPrepare and document required code research for projectsPrepare specifications, technical reports, and system narrativesSite investigations, field visits, and construction support servicesOversee QA/QC process of projects, including draftingInterface with team members of other disciplines in our integrated collaborative environmentClient and consultant interface - coordinate with consulting architect, civil and structural engineersCompensation:Competitive salary and benefits based on experience.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
