Assistant Store Manager

Overview As an Assistant Store Manager at Carter’s, you will be the first face of the brand for growing families, welcoming new parents and grandparents and helping them prepare for the first day of school and other life moments. Responsibilities Execute workforce management to ensure genuine customer focus on the sales floor. Welcome customers with a warm greeting and disclose product styles, features, and benefits. Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers. Consistently model service standards and omnichannel experience while coaching others to success. Analyze business results and communicate KPIs to the team to improve performance. Build customer loyalty through Company-sponsored programs, including credit. Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and development of the store team. Recognize exceptional performance and provide corrective direction when needed. Plan, track, analyze, and report task completion and financial results using Company tools. Partner with Store Manager to plan and execute merchandising standards, promotional planning, markdown execution, and product placement. Reduce loss through consistent customer service, education, and operational controls. Qualifications Positive, solutions-oriented mindset. Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and customer engagement skills. Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, web navigation, etc.). A minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience. A high school diploma or GED. Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing a ladder, standing or walking for extended periods.
