Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30).

The Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Therapist will provide care to newborns and children requiring respiratory support. This role involves working in both neonatal intensive care units (NICU) and pediatric intensive care units (PICU) based on the facility's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in high-risk deliveries.
• Manage various respiratory therapies, including CPAP and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform intubation and extubation procedures, including direct intubation for neonates.
• Implement pulmonary hygiene strategies to support patient recovery.
• Perform capillary blood gas assessments.
• Provide care for tracheostomy patients and address related complications.
• Support high-frequency ventilation techniques and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Level 3 NICU or PICU.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• Certifications in RRT, BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS required.
• Travelers with prior experience are encouraged, but first-time travelers will be accepted.
