Burns & McDonnell is one of the leading design firms in the United States.Job Description• Read and interpret contracts to determine proper invoicing formats;• Generate custom excel based invoice templates and system generated invoices on a daily basis for various engineering and construction contracts;• Coordinate the review and approval of invoices with internal project managers;• Check and verify the accuracy of invoice calculations;• Compile expense reports, timecards, supplier invoices and other documentation as back-up that is to be submitted to the client with the invoice;• Submit invoices via US Postal mail, FedEx, email and or external electronic invoicing programs;• maintain and update an assigned client based invoicing log;• follow up with project managers regarding unbilled work in progress and project status, on a monthly basis;• File invoices and contracts monthly;• audit projects with complicated invoicing requirements on a quarterly basis;• Other duties as assignedQualifications• Requirements:1. Associates Degree required.2. Minimum 5 years prior experience in an accounting related position.3. Ability to read and interpret contracts;4. excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;5. Strong verbal and written communication skills6. High math aptitude;7. Intermediate knowledge using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook programs;8.
