BSN Lab/Clinical Nursing Instructor

Description Description The International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) is seeking a qualified and student-centered BSN Lab/Clinical Instructor to join the School of Nursing in Boynton Beach, Florida. This onsite position is responsible for facilitating BSN nursing skills labs, simulation experiences, and clinical instruction to support student competency, confidence, clinical judgment, and professional development. Purpose The instructor will primarily support BSN lab experiences scheduled on weekends and supervise students attending clinical rotations that may occur Monday through Saturday. The ideal candidate is an experienced registered nurse who is comfortable teaching in a hands-on learning environment, supervising students in patient-care settings, and partnering with faculty and clinical-site personnel to promote safe, high-quality nursing education. Responsibilities Skills Lab and Simulation Instruction Facilitate scheduled BSN skills labs and simulation activities, primarily on weekends, at the Boynton Beach campus. Prepare, organize, and maintain lab equipment, supplies, learning stations, and simulation environments before and after instructional sessions. Demonstrate, coach, and evaluate students on fundamental and advanced nursing skills in accordance with course objectives, institutional policies, and accepted standards of nursing practice. Support high-fidelity simulation activities using Gaumard mannequins and other instructional technology. Lead or assist with simulation pre-briefing, scenario facilitation, debriefing, and student remediation as assigned. Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports active participation and student success. Identify students who require additional coaching, remediation, or academic support and communicate concerns promptly to appropriate academic leadership. Clinical Instruction and Student Supervision Supervise BSN students during assigned clinical rotations, which may be scheduled Monday through Saturday. Ensure students meet clinical objectives and demonstrate safe, ethical, and professional nursing practice in patient-care settings. Observe student performance, provide real-time coaching, and evaluate clinical competency, judgment, communication, documentation, and professionalism. Ensure compliance with clinical-site requirements, patient-safety protocols, HIPAA, infection-control standards, and all applicable policies and procedures. Provide timely, constructive feedback and complete student evaluations, attendance records, clinical documentation, and related reports accurately and on time. Address student performance concerns, attendance issues, clinical-site concerns, and safety matters in collaboration with academic leadership. Professional Communication and Compliance Serve as a professional representative of ICHS with students, clinical-site staff, faculty, administrators, and external partners. Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication regarding student progress, clinical needs, scheduling concerns, and other program matters. Maintain required licensure, certifications, clinical compliance documentation, and professional-development requirements. Support compliance with institutional policies and applicable state, accreditation, and nursing-board requirements. Requirements Requirements Qualifications Education / Experience / Knowledge Unencumbered Florida or Compact State RN License required Minimum 4 years clinical experience as an RN required Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience in clinical instruction, preceptorship, or nursing education preferred Required Skills Strong clinical knowledge in nursing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and foster student growth Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct Additional Requirements Must reside within commuting distance of Boynton Beach, Florida This is not a remote position; on-site presence at clinical locations is required Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed Additional Information: At no time may work be performed, or computer systems accessed, from outside of the U.S. Individuals hired must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
