Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our high-risk perinatal care team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.Position OverviewThis role involves working in a Level III unit that includes comprehensive maternity services, with the following key responsibilities:Deliver care to patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum settings.Provide support for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.Maintain optimal patient-to-staff ratios, ensuring 1:1 in labor, 1:3 for couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum.Assist in triage with a team of skilled RNs to ensure timely patient assessment and care.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.Experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries is preferred; however, candidates from facilities with 100-200 deliveries may be considered.Current certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring.Must be flexible to float to postpartum as required.Availability for weekend shifts is necessary.Unit Information19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds.Equipped with 3 operating rooms (ORs) and 2 PACU.3 skilled RNs per shift in triage and supported by surgical techs and CNAs in an organized care environment.Additional InformationWe aim to provide a collaborative and supportive environment, ensuring high-quality care for our patients.
