Obstetrics Technician

Obstetrics Technician in Obstetrics Unit at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. This position is full time and will work 12-hour day shifts.

Performs scrub technologist duties for patients undergoing surgical interventions in the following specialties: C-Sections, hysterectomies, cervical lacerations, and tubal ligations. Under the supervision of an RN/LVN, the OB Technician will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of scrub training with competency sign off by designated trainer.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year of patient care experience as a Care Partner II or equivalent.
  • 1 year of patient care experience post completion of scrub competencies in Labor and Delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: EMT, Medical Assistant or CNA Certificate
  • Upon hire: OB Tech-Surgical Tech Certificate
