The Dietary Aide supports food service operations by assisting with meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation in healthcare or institutional settings. This role ensures patients and residents receive meals that meet dietary requirements and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating.
• Deliver meals to patients/residents and assist with tray setup.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and service areas.
• Follow food safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Communicate with nursing staff and dietary team regarding patient needs.
• Record meal counts and assist with inventory as needed.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in food service and food preparation.
• Cooking skills, including experience in hospitality, tray line, and line cooking.
• Strong cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in food handling and safety protocols.

Shift

• Monday - Friday (11:30am - 8pm) w/ rotating weekends

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
