Job Title: Security/Light Maintenance

Position Summary: Responsible for performing security and light maintenance duties on a day-to-day basis to provide a clean and safe environment for the residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Duties

• Monitor/Control access to all areas of facility as required by Providence Point.
• Direct all visitors and contractors in a proper manner.
• Monitor and operate security and control equipment provided by Providence Point
• Maintain proper record.
• Report incidents to proper personnel
• Comply with all security and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Escort residents, staff, and visitors to and from parking lot as needed.
• Perform rounds in Boiler Room after normal business hours.
• Conduct security rounds (building and grounds).
• Lock and unlock facility doors at appropriate times.
• Complete routine day-to-day assignments so as to not inconvenience the residents, staff, or others.
• Assist in keeping public areas clean and safe.
• Contact local police department immediately upon notification of a break-in or theft.
• Respond to urgent calls as appropriate.

Light Maintenance Duties

• Perform light maintenance duties such as but not limited to; changing lightbulbs, unclogging toilets, turning off water in the event of a plumbing leak.
• Perform snow removal and spread ice melt products in a collaborative manner with maintenance
• Have knowledge of location of fire alarm panels, extinguishers, and related fire devices.
• Report all mechanical and electrical deficiencies and property damage to Security Supervisor.
• Acts professionally towards all service companies which may be working within the facility.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training in the field of security or maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Display listening skills to include being able to follow directions and interpret concerns.

Preferred: Valid Driver's License.
