Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive medical history analyses
- Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
- Engage with surgeons to design and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies
- Provide essential intraoperative support, including preparing the OR, positioning patients, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
- Deliver exemplary pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- This position greatly prefers completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practices
- Hold current, unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- In-depth understanding of surgical concepts and sterile techniques
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret diagnostic results and contribute to intricate clinical decisions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to perform under pressure, particularly in surgical situations
- A compassionate bedside manner and a profound respect for patient dignity and autonomy
