Senior Systems Support Analyst

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Senior Systems Support Analyst in the Department of Information Technology. This classification also exists in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year. This is the advanced level of the System Support Analyst series. Under general supervision, performs complex systems analysis, architecture, engineering, management, and operations work in support of mission critical technology systems; and performs related duties as assigned. Please note: while the current Senior Systems Support Analyst vacancy is within the Department of Information Technology, the list that is established may be used to fill vacancies in other departments across the City of Henderson. Salary and benefits.

Competitive salary range of $88,078.50 - $132,117.74 annually; salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity. Work-life balance. The City of Henderson requires employees to reside in the state of Nevada with the capability of reporting to an on-site location timely, if required.

Department of Information Technology. The expected schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (4 day work week). This position is eligible for remote work, with occasional in-person meetings. Work schedules and remote work opportunities are subject to change. This option for remote work is only available for incumbents who have completed their probation or qualifying period.

Department of Utility Services. The expected schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, standard day shift hours will be determined by supervisor (4 day work week). This position may be eligible for remote work up to two days per week; at least 50% of work time must be spent in-person onsite. Work schedules and remote work opportunities are subject to change. This option for remote work is only available for incumbents who have completed their probation or qualifying period.

Minimum qualifications. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Four (4) years of experience in design, implementation, and support of enterprise-level systems and/or custom software development. Note: an equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered. Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check. Must obtain and maintain Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification upon hire/transfer and recertify as needed. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment. Technical certifications related to specific job duties of your assigned area may be required.
