Lead / SME FAST QA Consultant (Insurance)

Title: Lead / SME FAST QA Consultant (Insurance) Location: Remote (East Coast Candidates Preferred) Duration: 6+ Month Contract Overview Our client is seeking a Lead / SME FAST QA Consultant with deep experience testing FAST (Flexible Architecture, Simplified Technology) platforms within the insurance industry. This role will lead quality assurance efforts across policy administration modernization initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of FAST-based solutions. Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution for FAST platform implementations and enhancements
- Develop and oversee test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automation frameworks
- Validate end-to-end insurance workflows including policy administration, underwriting, billing, claims, and servicing processes
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and production validation activities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully validated and traceable
- Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and quality metrics reporting
- Support release management, deployment validation, and production readiness activities
- Mentor junior QA resources and provide QA leadership across multiple workstreams
- 8+ years of Quality Assurance / Test Automation experience
- Strong hands-on experience testing FAST platform implementations and integrations
- Deep understanding of insurance domain processes (Life, Annuities, P&C, or Group Benefits preferred)
- Experience leading QA teams and serving as QA SME on large transformation programs
- Strong experience with API testing, database validation, and integration testing
- Experience with test automation tools and framework development
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting UAT, production releases, and post-deployment validation activities
- Prior consulting experience with Capco or large insurance transformation programs
- Experience with policy administration system modernization initiatives
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines
- FAST certification or extensive FAST implementation experience
