  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, utilizing validated tools to uncover the unique challenges faced by each individual.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target specific mental health issues, fostering emotional well-being and successful school integration.
  • \n
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and other emotional challenges through structured individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Facilitate skill-building workshops focusing on emotional regulation, coping strategies, and personal growth, ensuring students have the tools to navigate their challenges effectively.

  • Collaborate closely with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other stakeholders to design holistic care approaches that address the multifaceted needs of each student.

  • Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, showcasing strong leadership and calmness under pressure.

  • Deliver psychoeducation to students and families, educating them about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.

  • Maintain precise documentation of all interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with ethical standards and state regulations.

  • Take part in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development workshops to stay current with trends and best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on the mental health support of students with special educational needs. These include children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. Professionals in this position will play a pivotal role in enhancing students' mental health, thereby improving their academic performance and emotional growth within an inclusive educational framework.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, with proficiency in relevant therapeutic modalities.

  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and trauma-informed military protocols.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to conduct mental health assessments, produce diagnostic interpretations, and develop tailored treatment plans.

  • Two years of post-licensure clinical experience focused on mental health assessment and treatment in educational or community contexts.

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness in utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
