Optician Euola is seeking Opticians to provide onsite optical services for Veterans at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. The Optician will support the Eye Clinic by assisting patients with eyewear selection, fittings, measurements, adjustments, repairs, and prescription verification while ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with VA standards. Address :1 Medical Center Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301 Key Responsibilities Assist Veterans with frame selection and lifestyle-based eyewear recommendations Perform optical measurements including pupillary distance (PD), segment heights, and base curves Verify eyeglass prescription specifications provided by VA Optometry/Ophthalmology clinics Fit, adjust, and dispense eyeglasses Perform minor repairs including screw replacement, nose pad replacement, and frame adjustments Document patient care accurately within CPRS/EHR systemsli> Maintain compliance with VA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS standards Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional interactions with Veterans and VA staff Ensure optical equipment and tools are maintained in proper working condition Participate in required VA training and background clearance processes Previous experience in a VA, hospital, or medical clinic environment (preferred) Required Qualifications American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification or state-licensed Must be technically proficient in optical dispensing and patient care services Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently Experience with eyeglass fittings, measurements, and repairs Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting Must successfully complete VA background investigation and credentialing requirements prior to start Must complete all required HIPAA, privacy, and VA training #J-18808-Ljbffr
