Customer Service Representative - Manufacturing

Location: Lafayette, IN
Pay: $24-$34/hour, based on experience
Schedule : 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | Typically 8-hour days between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Temporary assignment expected to last through early March 2027

About the Opportunity

Pro Resources is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative for a well-established automotive component manufacturing facility in Lafayette, IN. This person will work directly with customers throughout the day, handling questions, providing order updates, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the day
• Respond to questions and provide updates regarding orders, deliveries, and product availability
• Enter, review, and update customer orders in SAP
• Communicate with production, shipping, logistics, and other internal departments
• Research and help resolve order or delivery concerns
• Follow up on open items to ensure customer needs are addressed
• Maintain accurate customer and order information
• Provide friendly, professional, and dependable customer service
• Assist with additional customer service and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous SAP experience required
• Customer service experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a strong plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus
• Comfortable working in a customer-facing role throughout the day
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working with customers and resolving concerns
• Proficient with computers, data entry, and Microsoft Office
