Seasonal Coordinator

Schedule: Temporary - full time (up to 40 hours weekly)This position is responsible for:Helping the Area Commander Schedule Bell Ringers according to the facilities available for ringing for that day. Schedule drivers to transport all bell rings out to the sites and return them at the end of the day. Help coordinate Angel tree pick-ups from locations. Set up signs at our ringing sites. Orient volunteers to the Corps facility’s physical layout and operation, and to pertinent Salvation Army policies and operating procedures. Keep the work area and vehicles clean, orderly, and in safe operating condition.Key Responsibilities:Knowledge of general office practices and proceduresKnowledge of basic mathSkill in organizing and prioritizing tasksSkill in paying attention to detail, particularly in the manipulation and recording of numbersAbility to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to compile and summarize informationAbility to lead by example and delegate tasks to othersKnowledge of inventory control techniques, as well as logistics knowledgeAbility to work in an organized manner with minimal supervisionAbility to manage multiple, competing deadlinesPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:The working environment is a warehouse without air condition/heat and with a cement floor where a majority of the day is spent.Temperatures in the warehouse and dock area might at times be very cold depending on the varying weather and temperatures during the Christmas season.Temperatures vary from approximately 30 degrees to below 0 in the winter.The position involves going in and out of the warehouse facility throughout the day.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED, and experience working in a retail store preferred, ORany equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Valid driver's licenseEqual Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
