Job Description & Requirements American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. Provide nursing care to a variety of cardiac patients including advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, acute coronary syndrome, and pre/post cardiac surgery patients. Deliver care to patients aged 18–60+ with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. Maintain full responsibility for patient care, collaborating with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns. Work day shift 06:45–19:15, 13‑week contract. Qualifications Active TN or Compact RN license required. Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required – Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years. Minimum 1 year of RN experience required. Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required. Must possess a US Social Security Number and a US home address. Two professional references required. Copy of Driver’s License required. Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required. Additional Information Local candidates are accepted; candidates within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate.
