Our people are at the center of everything we do, bringing curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence to their work every day.Learn more about Publicis Re:Sources and the Publicis Groupe agencies we support at publicisresources.com.OverviewPublicis Re:Sources is seeking a Senior Counsel to provide strategic, hands‑on legal support to its advertising, creative and production agencies.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice on an ongoing basis in areas of marketing and advertising law including, but not limited to, claim substantiation, trademark clearance, copyright, rights of privacy and publicity, user-generated content and social media mattersDraft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including client-agency, supplier/media owner, sponsorship, talent, music, production, technology, confidentiality, and intellectual property licenses and agreementsReview marketing materials to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, rules and regulations, as well as adherence to industry best practicesConduct preliminary trademark searches and review full trademark searchesEducate, advise, and counsel management on legal issues affecting business decisionsProvide periodic training to business units on key legal issues affecting operationsProvide day-to-day legal support to the business teamsStandardize templates, processes and legal guidance where possible to improve efficiency of legal services to business unitsQualificationsJD degree from an ABA accredited law school6+ years of relevant experience (with 2+ years at a law firm)Must be licensed to practice, and be in good standing, in Illinois or New YorkSkills:Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical and organizational skillsExcellent business judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give advice, demonstrating a deep and practical understanding of overall business objectives and riskAbility to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging and constantly changing environmentOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to varied audiences and stakeholdersAbility to develop partnerships and to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of our organization and externallyFamiliarity with the use of artificial intelligence in legal practice and the associated issues and risksExceptional customer service and interpersonal skillsSolid organizational and time management skillsService- and results-oriented with outstanding attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyAbility to handle high-volume, multiple prioritiesAdditional informationThe expected salary range for this role is $190,000-205,000.
