Counter Sales

We are seeking a versatile Counter Sales Specialist who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. This unique hybrid role combines front-counter customer service and sales with hands-on technical work, specifically installing light fixtures and electrical components on-site at local port facilities and docked vessels. Daily responsibilities split between managing counter transactions and performing technical installations in the field. When at the counter, you will assist walk-in customers, process orders, pull inventory, and answer product inquiries regarding marine and industrial electrical supplies. Out in the field, you will travel to the port to safely install, replace, and troubleshoot light fixtures on vessels, docks, and port infrastructure. Ideal candidates must have prior customer service or counter sales experience alongside practical basic electrical knowledge or hand tool experience suitable for fixture installation. Physical stamina is essential, as you will be climbing ladders, working in marine environments, and lifting heavy equipment. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain port clearance (TWIC card preferred). Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends based on ship schedules is highly valued.
