The Recreation Therapist assesses client leisure needs and develops behavioral treatment plans, goals, and interventions.Skills Work with administrative and social work, nursing, psychology, and therapy to ensure that recreation is well-balanced, coordinated, and integrated with special servicesAttend and participate in treatment team meetings and select therapeutic groups when program schedule permits; establish relationships with all community agencies providing recreation therapy servicesEstablish, initiate, organize, and conduct the recreation therapy treatment program including leisure education, aerobics, creative expression, and special events such as birthdays, holidays, and graduation parties; develop a weekly schedule of planned client activitiesEducation & RequirementsBachelor 's Degree requiredCertified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification requiredExperience in inpatient setting preferredAbility to Communicate in EnglishBLS requiredWe are committed to creating:A safe and respectful work environment.
