About the Role:
MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RCP) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team in Spokane, WA Night Shift. Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory care and therapeutic interventions to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and non-invasive ventilation
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust ventilator settings accordingly
• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchodilators, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
• Assist with intubations, extubation and airway management procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary PICU care teams including physicians, nurses, and specialists
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations

Requirements:

• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state of Washington
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a PICU, pediatric, or critical care setting preferred
• Proficiency in mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in high-acuity environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary care team
