Software Test Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to support software testing and quality assurance activities for technology initiatives and application enhancements. The role involves collaborating with IT, development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Review requirements to identify gaps and quality risks.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Build automated test banks and regression test suites.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation, including SQL queries.
• Test system integrations, APIs, and application workflows.
• Support deployment and production validation activities.
• Maintain testing documentation and provide status updates.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of experience in IT quality assurance, software testing, or systems analysis.
• 5+ years of experience developing test cases and scenarios.
• 5+ years identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
• 5+ years experience with defect management platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical, communication, and multi-tasking skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with SQL and database testing.
• Experience in API and system integration testing.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience on large-scale IT projects and implementations.

Special Considerations:

• Work environment includes hybrid schedule with onsite presence required on Monday and Tuesday.
• In-person interview location: Lansing, MI.

Scheduling:

• 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid work schedule with onsite work required on Mondays and Tuesdays.
