MedTech Technical Support Representative

MedTech Technical Support Representative Dallas, United States of America | Part time | Field-based | R1550480 Our Technical Support Representative opportunity will support a leading medical device manufacturer’s software update needs on equipment based in hospitals, pharmacies, and other clinical settings. The current product line is an automated medication dispensing system. The part‑time, as‑needed schedule will primarily be scheduled service appointments averaging 30 hours per week. This opening has potential to grow into supporting the dispensing system’s field service demand by traveling to customer sites as needed. Responsibilities Install software patch remotely and verify proper functionality post‑upgrade Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize assigned service orders and customer inquiries regarding hardware, software, networking, customer service, and other computer‑related technologies Provide quality technical customer service in a professional, responsive, empathetic, reliable, patient, resourceful and assured manner Document all steps taken to service the request in the appropriate tracking system Handle problem recognition, isolation, resolution, and follow‑up for routine customer problems, escalating and/or collaborating with advanced team members or department management to resolve more complex issues Obtain and maintain proper vendor credentialing to service all customers in the coverage area as needed Set scheduled availability within systems so that notification of new work can be received Job Requirements Associate degree in biomedical or computer‑related field or 1‑3 years of equivalent technical support of PCs preferred; high school diploma and 1 year of related experience required Intermediate troubleshooting abilities in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support Physical ability to push, pull, stoop, bend and lift up to 70 lbs Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required Must reside in the United States Preferred Experience Experience as a military technician, field service computer technician, or other complex electronics technician Experience supporting automation equipment in a healthcare setting A+ certification Benefits Not eligible for medical benefits. Vaccine/Immunization/Hospital Credentialing Requirement Individuals must complete healthcare facility credentialing process, including immunization requirements such as Measles, Mumps & Rubella, Varicella, TB test, Tdap, Hepatitis B, seasonal Influenza, and COVID‑19 vaccine primary series. Salary Potential base pay range is $27–$30 per hour. Actual base pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may be offered.
