Bereavement Volunteer

Cardinal Hospice Care is now looking for volunteers who can help our bereavement coordinator with some tasks such as sending out mail, providing our bereaved families with scripted phone call to see how they are doing and assist with group events/planning. There are just a few of the many tasks that can be done as a bereavement volunteer. Primarily, our bereavement volunteers will be able to meet our bereavement coordinator at one of our office locations (Smithfield, Greensboro, Kinston, New Bern and Jacksonville) to complete these tasks. Depending on the tasks at hand and your volunteer experience, some tasks can be completed from your home. Our bereavement volunteers must complete the following requirements: Complete our application in full Pass an NC background check. For those who have not lived in the state for at least five consecutive years, you will be asked to have your fingerprints submitted for a federal background check. Complete our volunteer training program. This program is 100% online and can be completed at your own pace. Interview with our bereavement coordinator and volunteer coordinator to ensure compatibility. MUST BE 16 YEARS OR OLDER TOAPPLY. Cardinal Hospice Care
