Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico teaching license in Special Education (NM Licensure required)
• High School Certification for English and Biology positions
• Experience working with special populations in a school setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Passion for individualized instruction and student advocacy

Assignment Overview:

• Full academic year position: August 10, 2026 – May 20, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, onsite only
• Multiple roles available:• High School SPED Teachers for English and Biology• Middle School SPED Resource• Four Elementary SPED roles in Intensive Learning Center settings (ILC)• One Pullout/Inclusion combination role• SPED Pre-Kindergarten
• Emphasis on supporting diverse learners through both inclusion and resource programs
• Foster cooperative relationships with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet student-specific learning goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Assess student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
