The RN Night Supervisor plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the nursing team during the night shift, ensuring high-quality resident care and staff support. Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Assistant DON, this role requires a compassionate and experienced registered nurse with strong clinical and leadership skills. The RN Night Supervisor supports a team of 11-20 staff members, provides frequent direct patient care, and maintains compliance with nursing standards and regulations. This position also involves daily communication with senior management and family members, utilizing systems such as Point Click Care for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support the facility nursing team during the night shift
• Provide direct resident care as needed, demonstrating hands-on involvement
• Ensure nursing care meets established quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Assist staff with difficult situations and provide emotional and psychological support
• Communicate effectively with residents’ families, offering advice, comfort, and discharge instructions
• Coordinate team efforts to maintain seamless operations throughout the night
• Report daily to senior management on nursing activities and resident status
• Utilize Point Click Care EHR system for accurate documentation and data entry

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
• Strong clinical skills in patient care and clinical leadership
• Knowledge of long-term care standards and health & safety compliance
• Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital protocols
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic health records (Point Click Care)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and compassionate care skills
