- Create Tailored Therapy Plans: Assess patients' needs and formulate personalized treatment strategies that encourage them in reaching their functional targets.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based practices that enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily lifestyle activities.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Partner closely with physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive and integrated care.
- Instruct and Empower Patients: Teach patients and their families effective therapy methods to ensure ongoing progress in their daily lives.
- Track and Adjust Treatment Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and make adjustments to therapies as necessary to keep patients on the path to recovery.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Continuing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported.
- Active license as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) .
- Certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) required.
- A strong inclination towards helping others attain their highest level of independence.
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, both with patients and colleagues.
- Flexibility to creatively adapt treatment plans to address diverse patient needs.
- Confidence in working independently and as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
