Overview Registered Nurse - First Assist (CVOR) travel assignment in Columbia, Missouri. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,921–$3,062 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,921–$3,062 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour days (0645–1715) Start date: 04/20/2026 On-call: 10 days per month Responsibilities Provide direct assistance to CVOR surgeons during operative procedures, including instrument handling, tissue management, wound exposure, and suturing. Maintain sterile technique, assist with hemostasis, suction, retraction, and patient positioning as directed. Support a range of cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, MVR, TAVR, AVR, and open and endovascular venous harvest. Assist with endoluminal AAA repairs, thoracic vascular cases, CEAs, and vascular interventions as needed. Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs, manage intraoperative equipment, and ensure patient safety throughout cases. Requirements 2–3 years of CVOR RN First Assistant experience or equivalent direct OR support in cardiovascular surgery. Proficient in endovascular and open vein harvest (leg harvest). Experience with CABG, MVR, TAVR, AVR, and vascular procedures including leg veins and AAA/endovascular work. Ability to work 0645–1715, 4x10-hour shifts, with on-call responsibilities (10 days/month). Willingness to travel for a 13-week temporary assignment.
