What Value This Role Will Bring 

As a Cable Assembler, you will manufacture precision cable assemblies used in critical industry applications. This role is responsible for assembling components to exact specifications, operating specialized production equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Build precision cable assemblies using wire rope, conduit, fasteners, and related components
• Operate rotary swagers, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, grinders, and load testing equipment
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify dimensional accuracy
• Interpret production drawings, work instructions, and product specifications
• Perform in-process inspections and maintain quality standards throughout production
• Communicate production status, material concerns, and non-conformances with leadership as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of assembly, manufacturing, or production experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating hydraulic presses and shop equipment
• Experience using precision measuring instruments

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00-$34.00 per hour

Position Details

• Fairfield, New Jersey; On-site attendance required
• First Shift – Monday – Thursday: 7:00AM – 3:30PM Friday: 6:30AM-3:00PM
• PPE required (safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas)
