The ideal candidate will inspire student learning through engaging, hands-on learning and exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students will also develop an awareness of future career pathways. This position requires strong classroom management, a student-centered approach, and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Required Qualifications :
- Certified with the State of Michigan to teach grades 6-12 in English Language Arts (BA or BX) endorsement. Additional certifications preferred
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
- Passion for teaching and working with students
- Commitment to ensure all students are academically challenged based on individual learning levels
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school and curriculum standards
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis
- Utilize formative and summative assessments to determine student growth
- Provide feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty meetings and professional development
- Incorporate technology and diverse teaching strategies to meet varied learning styles and needs
- Letter of Application, with a review of experience appropriate to the position
- Resume, MTTC scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation
- English Language Arts BA or BX certification
