We are looking for a skilled Senior Database Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, with a focus on AWS cloud services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications and analytics, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility. The ideal candidate will thrive in an Agile project management setting and possess a strong background in data management and processing. The position is in Herndon, VA. Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and managing database systems, particularly focusing on AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and SQL databasesManaging data structures and load routines to support application development and support application usersWorking with reporting tools like Power BIDeveloping and interfacing with Application Program Interfaces (APIs), supporting application development teams, and leveraging AWS environments for database and application supportThe ideal candidate will thrive in an Agile project management setting and possess a strong background in data management and processingRequirements:5+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated database experience preferably with PostgreSQL and SQL databasesProficiency in working with views, triggers, and stored proceduresStrong knowledge of SQL scripting, database indexing, and optimization techniquesExperience in developing and interfacing with APIsExperience in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for business useExpertise in working with relational data, including cleansing, transforming, and processing structured dataKnowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environmentsExperience working within an Agile project management frameworkProven experience collaborating with diverse teams, including client staff, IT customers, and technical and non-technical stakeholdersUS Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredDesired Experience:Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI and Generative AI models and algorithmsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business challenges using AI technologiesResearching and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and GenAIExperience with AWS Cloud Data Migration ServicesFamiliarity with Jira for project tracking and managementFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with data visualization tools like Power BI or TableauAWS certifications related to data engineering or architectureDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
