Diploma or Equivalent Required Completion of approved NCT training program Required Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program Required or Other Successful completion of a vocational nurse program Required 6 Months Previous health care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care Required 6 Months Previous x-ray experience or completion of an internal THR NCT training program in lieu of experience Required 6 Months Previous experience as licensed NCT Preferred Previous experience with electronic health record, straight-arm x-ray and orthopedic experience Preferred NCT (Non-Certified Radiology Technician) Registered by the Texas Medical Board Upon Hire Required LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas, if LVN Upon Hire Required Or Other Certified or Registered Medical Assistant in lieu of the completion of a Medical Assistant education program Required (Those hired prior to 04/11/2022 will be grandfathered without MA education/Certification) Required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (maintained every 2 years and required prior to providing independent patient care) within 30 days of hire THR Urine Drug Collector training (Maintained every 5 years and required prior to providing independent care) within 30 days of hire What you will do Guide consumers and their secondary guests through the urgent care visit to enhance the consumer experience while maximizing throughput and delivering clinical excellence Assist the provider with care and treatment, laboratory testing, x-ray examinations, and other duties as part of a rotating role Perform patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, and patient discharge Maintain competency and perform in all assigned positions on a rotating basis Collaborate with the Site Manager, provider, and other clinical staff Collect identification and payor related documentation; conduct registration using EPIC workflow Measure and document vitals (temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, pain level) and communicate results to consumer and provider Document chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications in EPIC for provider review Perform and document laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or SOPs, including venipuncture with competency check-off Administer and document oral and intramuscular medications using the medication verification workflow; if a medical assistant, injections may be performed with competency check-off Assist provider with procedures, maintain sterile field, support laceration repair, I&D, and ortho-goods application; assist with ortho-glass application as applicable Perform diagnostic x-rays and document radiology examinations within licensed scope of practice; ensure images are transferred for overread and have a report in the medical record Demonstrate professional, empathetic behavior; welcome consumers and secondary guests; maintain patient experience standards Notify provider of emergent patients, perform BLS, provide oxygen, and assist with emergency care as needed Schedule primary care referrals for consumers Maintain office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels as assigned Perform quality checks per established policies and procedures Other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Health Resources
