Job Description Develop trial strategy collaboratively and assume first-chair responsibility for trial efforts. Conduct and oversee complex legal research involving novel and sophisticated issues. Work directly with specialized outside counsel on behalf of the firm and its clients. Draft moving papers, oppositions, and other substantive filings involving complex legal issues. Appear at hearings involving motions and oppositions. Conduct depositions of PMK witnesses, apex employees, mechanical experts, fraud experts, and other key witnesses. Help develop and improve firm policies and procedures, including client communication practices. Identify and resolve issues efficiently and proactively. Communicate directly with clients and provide strong, professional guidance throughout litigation. Collaborate with colleagues to advance cases and strengthen litigation strategy. Qualifications J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Active California Bar license and membership in good standing. 8+ years of litigation and trial experience as a licensed attorney. Significant first-chair trial experience with a successful record of multiple jury verdicts. Representative experience conducting bench trials and/or jury trials through verdict. Strong client communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to consumer advocacy. Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent leadership, organization, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, attorney timekeeping programs, and client file management systems. Spanish bilingual ability is preferred. Arbitration, Coordinated Proceedings, and Multi-District Litigation experience is preferred. Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available as appropriate.
