Security Officer

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Officer to provide overnight security services within a private residential community in Edwards, Colorado. This position focuses on vehicle-based patrol operations, resident assistance, and property monitoring to help support a safe and well-maintained neighborhood environment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of awareness throughout the shift.

• Compensation: Up to $25.50 per hour
• Shift: Overnight | 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Position Summary

As a Residential Mobile Patrol Officer, you will conduct regular patrols throughout a gated community, monitor common areas and access points, document security related concerns, and serve as a professional resource for residents and property management personnel. Most duties are performed by a patrol vehicle with periodic inspections conducted on foot.

Essential Duties

Vehicle Patrol & Property Monitoring

• Drive designated patrol routes throughout the community during assigned hours
• Observe neighborhood streets, common areas, recreational facilities, and parking locations
• Monitor entrances and exits for unusual activity or unauthorized access
• Inspect community assets for damage, vandalism, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns
• Maintain a visible patrol presence to help deter unwanted activity

Security Response & Community Support

• Investigate suspicious circumstances and follow established reporting procedures
• Respond appropriately to resident concerns and service related requests
• Report emergencies, hazards, and security issues to designated contacts
• Assist first responders when requested during incidents occurring within the community
• Support property management objectives through professional service and communication

Documentation & Communication

• Complete patrol reports and daily activity records accurately
• Document incidents, observations, and operational concerns in a timely manner
• Utilize electronic reporting tools and mobile applications as assigned
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding significant activity or issues requiring attention

Resident Relations

• Interact professionally with homeowners, guests, contractors, and community staff
• Provide courteous customer service while enforcing site-specific procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and always conduct
• Foster positive working relationships with residents and management representatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required
• Ability to successfully pass background screening requirements
• Safe driving habits and ability to operate patrol vehicles responsibly
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
• Ability to work independently throughout overnight shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, mobile patrol, customer service, or related fields
• Experience working within residential communities, homeowners' associations, or gated properties
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and mobile technology
• Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making abilities
