Infusion Registered Nurse (Part-Time)

Description Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy at the clinic located in Overland Park, KS. The role requires willingness/ability to travel locally to the clinics in Kansas City, MO and Lee's Summit, MO. Schedule 3 days per week (24 hours) – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Referral program Salary: $35/hour + monthly bonus (total $55,000–$60,000) Key Attributes Work/life balance Competitive pay Casual environment Large practice with continued growth Specific Duties Place peripheral lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) for new patients and teach infusion patients how to self‑administer medications. Document in the medical record. Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information to physicians and/or patients as needed. E‑prescribe prescriptions at doctor’s order and communicate to pharmacies. Receive and respond to patient and other telephone calls. Review EMR charts for next day’s appointments, ordering lab results, consult reports or notes, ensuring all required fields are within EMR to be eligible for meaningful use. Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule patients to come to the office as needed. Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested. Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities. Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment. Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility. Support professional practice by observing standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy. Other duties and tasks as assigned. Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current KS/MO RN license. At least two years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice. Infusion experience. Chemo experience is preferred, but not required. Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, COVID‑19).
