Job Description Job Description Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector Walnut Bottom, PA | $25–$35/hour DOE | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Full-time / Direct Hire We are hiring an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector for full-time shop and field work. This is not an entry-level welding position . We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection . Candidates whose background is limited to production welding or general welding without structural steel experience will not be considered. What You'll Be Doing Fabricate structural steel components including beams, columns, frames, supports, and related assemblies Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications Measure, cut, fit, weld, and assemble structural steel components Perform structural welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication work Erect structural steel in the field according to drawings and specifications Set, align, and install beams, columns, RTU frames, and other steel components Work with cranes, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment Verify fit-up, alignment, dimensions, and installation quality Perform shop and field work on new construction and existing structures Follow all jobsite and shop safety requirements What We're Looking For 3+ years of structural steel fabrication and/or erection experience preferred Proven experience working with structural steel — not welding alone Ability to read and understand structural shop drawings and blueprints Experience fabricating and assembling beams, columns, frames, and structural components Experience erecting structural steel in the field strongly preferred Strong welding, cutting, fitting, and fabrication skills Experience working around cranes, lifts, and forklifts Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Strong attention to measurements, fit-up, alignment, and quality Safety-minded and dependable High school diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years old Must be able to complete pre-employment physical and drug screening Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Candidates must be comfortable: Standing and walking for extended periods Climbing and working at elevation Bending, reaching, twisting, and performing repetitive physical work Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs Occasionally lifting or handling loads up to 100 lbs Performing manual labor in both shop and field environments Compensation & Benefits $25–$35/hour based on experience Candidates with significant structural steel fabrication/erection experience may qualify toward the top of the range Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability Additional benefits available after applicable waiting period Schedule Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM If you have real structural steel experience and can fabricate, fit, read drawings, and work in the field erecting steel , we want to hear from you.
