Controls Systems Engineer

Are you an engineer ready to support critical industrial control and automation systems across the Southeast? Our client is seeking someone to step into a hands-on, high-impact role supporting industrial control environments where reliability, uptime, and real-world problem solving matter every day. You'll work closely with experienced engineers in a family-oriented organization that values trust, collaboration, and long-term growth.

C2C is not an option with this job opening and all applicants should be able to work for any US Employer without sponsorship. Sponsorship is not provided and this person will not need to require sponsorship in the future.

Compensation

Up to $100,000, depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing

Troubleshooting industrial control systems, PLCs, and automation issues in live environments
Supporting system commissioning, testing inputs/outputs, and field diagnostics
Resolving network and system connectivity issues impacting industrial operations
Traveling to client sites to restore uptime and troubleshoot equipment failures (~30% travel)
Supporting control system reliability in oil & gas and industrial environments

What You'll Need to be Considered

Strong background in industrial controls, PLC systems, and field troubleshooting
Working knowledge of IT systems, networking, patching, and infrastructure basics
Willingness to travel regionally to client sites (typically a few days at a time)
Experience supporting industrial environments such as oil & gas or manufacturing
Ability to diagnose system bottlenecks and operational issues in real time
