HR Assistant

salary: $22 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Offboarding: Processing new hire paperwork, conducting background checks, scheduling orientation sessions, and assisting with exit documentation.

• Employee Records & HRIS Management: Maintaining digital and physical personnel files, updating employee information in the HRIS, and tracking attendance, leave, and performance metrics.

• Recruitment Support: Posting job openings, screening initial applications, scheduling interview appointments, and coordinating logistics for candidate visits.

• Administrative Operations: Answering basic employee questions regarding company policies and payroll, preparing HR reports, sorting incoming mail, and filing documentation.

• Compliance & Auditing: Assisting in annual file audits (e.g., I-9 forms) to maintain compliance with labor standards and privacy regulations.
