Purchasing Manager

In this role, you will be working as a Purchasing Manager for a client that works in the manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing including sourcing raw materials, specialized components required to enigneer and build custom machinery. This is a contract to possible permanent role that is a long term need for my client. This position must be worked on site. Pay; 65,000-$75,000/Yr. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in business or supply chain prefereed or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing, automation or heavy metal fabrication environment Familiarity with machining, fabrication, welding consumables (motors, drives, electrical components, sensors etc..) Experience with ERP/MRP software in a job shop environment Experience reading and understanding technical drawings Experience with negotiation - responsible for estimating total cost of ownership of the product. Strong experience with identifying suppliers, manging vendor performance etc. Inventory control and planning experience Contract management experience - understand legal terms and compliance requirements Work with engineering and Project management team to review BOMs and technical drawings to help with quoting and purchasing #VIS #J-18808-Ljbffr
