Inspector I
PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the area. We are hiring for Quality Control Inspector in Medway, MA.
Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00AM 4:30PM (schedule may be negotiable) Pay Rate: $22.00-$23.00/hr based on experience.
Quality Control Inspector Summary:
- Ensure products conform to customer specifications and quality standards
- Perform first-piece, in process and final inspections on a variety of machined parts and products
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify quality and compliance
- Work closely with manufacturing and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Support quality initiatives and maintain inspection documentation
Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities:
- Conduct first-piece, in process, final inspections and testing activities
- Perform surface plate and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspections
- Create and maintain inspection plans and quality documentation
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other inspection tools
- Conduct random audits during production to ensure compliance with drawing and process specs
- Assist with calibration reviews and report equipment concerns as needed
Quality Control Inspector Requirements:
- High school Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year technical training, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- At least 2 years of mechanical inspection experience in close-tolerance machining preferred
- Experience with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and related
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, inspection specs and written instructions
