Job Title: Tool Maker / Mold Maker
Location: Batavia, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | 1st Shift
Compensation: $28–$38/hr + Overtime Available
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced tooling professional who enjoys troubleshooting, precision machining, mold repair, and working closely with engineering and production teams.
Responsibilities:
• Build, repair, modify, and maintain production molds and tooling
• Perform preventative maintenance and mold refurbishment
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions
• Operate CNC and manual machining equipment
• Perform precision grinding, fitting, polishing, and assembly
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Support prototype and production tooling projects
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Mold Maker, Tool Maker, Tool & Die, or Tool Room experience
• Experience with mold repair, tooling maintenance, or mold builds
• CNC, EDM, milling, grinding, and lathe experience preferred
• Plastics tooling, injection molding, or blow mold tooling experience is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain close tolerances and work from prints
