Job DescriptionUniversity Orthodontics is always looking for experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistants to assist the Orthodontist with regular orthodontic check-ups. To be successful as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you should have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to ensure the safety of patients during orthodontic procedures. Ultimately, an exceptional Orthodontic Dental Assistant should be able to demonstrate patience as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.Orthodontic Dental Assistant RequirementsProven experience working as an Orthodontic Dental AssistantPreferred 2-3 years experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Sound knowledge of various orthodontic procedures and practicesPreferred experience with Invisalign iTero scanning (3-D scanning)Excellent organizational skillsEffective communication skillsMust be a team player, have a friendly and positive attitude, and a sound work ethicOrthodontic Dental Assistant ResponsibilitiesAssisting the Orthodontist in all aspects of orthodontic treatmentRemoving and replacing wires, coil springs, and elastic bandsMaking orthodontic adjustments as directed by the OrthodontistEducating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercareMaintaining accurate records of patients' oral health history and treatment progressScanning for digital impressions utilizing the iTero digital scannerTaking digital intraoral x-raysTaking extraoral photographs of patients' teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progressBenefits$1,000 Sign-on Bonus*Matching 401KMedical and Vision insurancePaid Vacation and HolidaysPerformance BonusesIf you are looking for an opportunity to be a part of a fun and energetic orthodontic office, please reply with your resume!Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour based upon experience*Bonus is contingent upon a minimum of six months of employment.
