Overview

Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 12-hour shifts, 11:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Radiologic Technologist operates various types of X-ray equipment, including fluoroscopy systems, to produce high-quality diagnostic images of specified anatomical areas as ordered by physicians. Ensures compliance with all radiation safety procedures, X-ray exposure protocols, and Title 17 regulations while maintaining proficiency in equipment operation and patient protection standards. Follows established departmental policies and procedures throughout the examination process, applying all appropriate radiation protection measures to safeguard patients and staff. Provides exceptional customer service by interacting with patients and parents to explain procedures, assess individual needs, and address age-specific considerations. Accurately positions patients, adjusts equipment settings, selects appropriate exposure factors, and utilizes positioning devices to maximize image quality while minimizing patient discomfort. Restricts radiographic exposure to only the anatomical area being examined and performs the necessary exposures to successfully complete each examination while ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience Required:

• 0-1 years preferred of related radiology technology experience.

Education/Licensure/Certification Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Satisfactory completion of approved radiology technology training/program.

• ARRT, CRT, AHA CPR required, fluoroscopy within the first 180 days of employment

Pay Scale Information

$76,918.40-$102,544.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
