Overview The Vascular Technologist performs a full range of vascular exams, using a variety of equipment and modalities including ultrasound and testing.
Qualifications Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Registered Vascular Technologist - Vascular Technology (RVT-VT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Education: Associate‘s Degree: Sonography, Work Experience:
Responsibilities Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services. Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and alignment. Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness. Documents accurately and completely. Performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures following departmental guidelines. Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound exams, according to physician orders and standing protocols. Rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability Take call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends. Proper cleaning of equipment and rooms between patients Document appropriately to accurately communicate with physicians on patient history and exam findings.
