Accessibility Specialist

Seeking a strategic Accessibility Specialist for a remote, full-time position, who will lead accessibility modernization efforts, conduct audits, and implement frameworks to enhance compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards across digital products. Key Responsibilities Lead accessibility audits to identify systemic issues and enhance compliance across the platform Address high-impact accessibility issues and implement remediation strategies for reusable components Develop a prioritization framework for accessibility issues to guide backlog prioritization and engineering investments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 requirements Hands-on experience with accessibility testing technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in software development environments Proficiency in evaluating web applications using both automated and manual accessibility testing methods
