Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6
• Deliver care within a Primary Stroke Center environment, supporting stroke protocol and rapid medical screenings
• Support patients in two locked Behavioral Health units within the ED, maintaining a ratio of 1:6 with ED staffing and security team support
• Utilize rapid evaluation units designed for urgent care and critical care needs
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float within the hospital within scope of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Primary Stroke Center or STEMI-capable emergency department
• Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Familiarity with Behavioral Health care within an ED environment
