Paramedic (EMT-P) Emergency Department Fast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled Paramedic. Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N. I-35 in Denton, TX 76201. Work hours: Full Time, Day Shift (7a to 7p), 3, 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday requirements. Complete benefits available. Department highlights:

What You Will Do Provides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation:

• Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs. Plans the care of the patient
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
• Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
• Cervical collar management
• External defibrillation
• Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
• Oral airway insertion and removal
• Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV Access
• Draw blood from ports
• Other duties as assigned by the care team

Qualifications Here's What You Need:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship, required. 1 year Paramedic experience in EMS or Fire Dept preferred
• EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days of hire required and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 days of hire required and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only), within 60 days of hire required
