Aircraft Mechanic II

The Aircraft Mechanic II inspects, troubleshoots malfunctions, rigs, repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components / systems of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces / controls, anti-icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and environmental systems, while applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and/or operation utilizing comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems. This Mechanic reads and interprets manufacturers and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years performing aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong aptitude to read and interpret complex aircraft mechanical drawings Blueprints, TCTO's, Supplemental Work Instructions, Service Bulletins, Installation Drawings, ETC.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic devices (laptop, tablet, etc.) for data management, work authorization, and interpretation of instructions.

Desired Skills:

• C-130J specific flight-line maintenance experience.
• Air Force 7-level (or equivalent) in a mechanical roll (Crew Chief, Engines, Hydraulics etc.).
• C-130J Engine run Certified.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Ability to maintain respirator fitness qualification.
• Ability to perform confined space entry
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Information:
